In very good condition. A pamphlet produced by the Institution of Civil Engineers containing Paper No 3651 ‘The Simplon Tunnel’ by Francis Fox M. Inst. C.E.A followed by a discussion on Mr Francis Fox’s Paper and a section of ‘Correspondence’. An extensive fold out plate measuring 70 cm x 22 cm containing 17 individual figures is bound in to the rear. 55 pp. collated and complete. The front wrapper is inscribed ‘With the author’s compliments. Francis Fox. July 1907’.

The Simplon Tunnel opened on 19 May 1906 connecting Brig, Switzerland and Domodossola, Italy, through the Alps.
