Very good copy of an original Royal Visit Supplement from the Dundee Advertiser dated July 9, 1914 marking the Royal visit of George V and Queen Mary to Dundee and Perth. Printed just weeks before WW1, a lasting record of a seemingly prosperous united Britain before the Great War took its toll. Each leaf is packed full of advertisements, articles of local interest, portraits of ladies to be presented to their Majesties, plans of the royal routes and much more.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: An elaborately designed border frames a photograph of the Royal couple in ceremonial robes to the front page. Unmarked throughout, a little age toned as expected. Binding is entirely sound, only a little cracking to first and last leaves along the spine to the tail. Measures 30 cm x 44 cm. Printed and published by John Leng and Co. 28 pp.
