In good condition. A small octavo surviving in original binding printed by J.L. for Luke Meredith at the Angel in Amen Corner. The boards are well worn with only remnants of their original paper covering. The backstrip has gone and the binding beneath revealed. Cracked along front and rear gutters though boards still holding to rear and only just to front. Illustrated frontispiece and flyleaf sit neatly though loosely within text block which is otherwise sound and show some staining. An ownership inscription to front free endpaper dated Oct 1821 is that of Cambridge scholar Samuel Nonaille Rudge (1801- 1865). The rear flyleaf reveals a hand written 8 line verse. 144 pp. collated and complete. Some water damage is evident on the rear endpapers and to the top corners of the final leaves although is very limited and does not affect the text, as noted on collation.
