A rare one-penny pamphlet from the press of Augustus Applegath (1788-1871) and his brother-in-law Edward Cowper, printed for the Religious Tract Society c. 1820. One other copy from this same printer noted in the collection of Cambridge University Library. Author unknown, Written by a Lieutenant-Colonel in the Army. In very good condition. Woodblock vignette to title page. 8 pp. collated and complete. A little edge worn to sewn spine as expected but otherwise entirely sound. Sold by F Collins, Paternoster Row and J & C Evans Smithfield. Handwritten 31 to top right corner.
