The History and Antiquities of Hengrave in Suffolk

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Half bound red calf boards over red cloth, gilt edged to corners front and rear. Moderately bumped to corners. Handsome 6 panelled spine decoratively adorned and titled in gilt. Firmly bound. Marbled text block edges. Marbled endpapers in good condition featuring bookplate of Iohannis (John) Evans. Early leaves age spotted, a few damp stains top and bottom throughout. Just a touch of mustiness needs to be noted. Full page frontispiece depicts Hengrave Hall, The Gate House by Henry Le Keux. Internally text block is in good condition although a little spotted in places. Contains 30 engravings which are more heavily spotted although mainly to perimeters. 263 pp.
