Very minor bruising to corners of boards, gilt banding and lettering to spine reading ‘Riley’s Rhymes &c. – Part 2.’ Front and rear later addition endpapers clean incorporating owner’s bookplate ‘Thos. Branshaw’, ‘Stackhouse Settle’ (a local antiquarian) to front pastedown. 21 blank, clean, later addition flyleaves to rear bulking out the book. Original booklet within, bound in attractive green card wrappers decorated in black font with illustration to front. Text block in near pristine condition, a little age toned. 15 beautifully illustrated rhymes. 28 pp. collated and complete including full page advertisement of works by same author to p.28. Riley captures the innocence and wonder of childhood through these whimsical verses and charming illustrations.
