Laid in ephemera includes pamphlet from International Congress on Plantin held in 1955, correspondence between Colin Clair and the book’s reviewer, Harry Carter of University Press Oxford, correspondence from The Times Literary Supplement and British Museum. A cutting from The Times April 28 1955 celebrating the quarter century of Christopher Plantin’s first book. (Possibly his inspiration for writing this book) An unannotated photograph and blank postcard from Saint-Avertin.
