The British Archer; or Tracts on Archery

A very scarce work attractively illustrated by the author and found here rather crudely rebacked. Original green cloth covered boards with worn rounded corners; new endpapers. Ownership signatures of ‘B P Gryom’(?) and ‘Mary Pearce 1854’ to title page. Library numbers on first leaf of Preface (Free Library Newark, N.J. 1833’ in blindstamp x4 later). Six etched plates; collates complete. A little staining at the tail of the page in the gutter across a couple of gatherings. Overall a good copy. Acquired as part of a library of books relating to archery compiled in the old West Riding of Yorkshire.
