Draw it with the Artbox Bunch - Original Art

The artwork 36x29cm show a dozen original ink and gouache cutouts by Hart from his Artbox programme of 1995-6 which have been mounted on a sheet of blue card with a window and additional decoration giving the illusion that the crayons and pens are doing the drawing. Edgewear to card but otherwise bright and atractive collage effect. 9 original colour photographs of sequences from the show. The book has been inscribed ‘Roc It’s a Start. Love n’ stuff Tony’. Opposite Renals has written a page long explanation of how he ‘invented the name “The Artbox Bunch”, and I sold it to the Executive Proder* (Chris Tarrant)... although the BBC promised to give me a credit on the title, they never did! For British children of the 1970s (this cataloguer included) Tony Hart was a much loved presence on TV who introduced even those of with no artistic gifts to the joy of artistic expression.
