(105x155mm) Hand-coloured photographic postcard, with screenprint in red, from an unrecorded edition size thought to be around 150 published by 'Robert Fraser Gallery 69 Duke Street London W1'. These cards were given away at the Hamilton exhibition at Robert Fraser Gallery in 1969 exhibition or sent out with invitations. Printed on photographic paper, the images are based on Hamilton's 1965 painting of Whitley Bay. Hamilton's best remembered works are his collages in which he explored the relationship between fine art, product design, and popular culture, showing a semi-nude couple in their living space for the groundbreaking exhibition 'This is Tomorrow' at the Whitechapel Art Gallery in London in 1956. Later Hamilton made silkscreens of Mick Jagger's drug arrest and designed the cover of the Beatles' 1968 White Album.
