Asprey Diary (presented to Sir Harold Wilson)

A desk diary by the luxury goods brand Asprey of Bond Street, London, presented to Prime Minister Harold Wilson, whose private address, '5 Ashley Gardens' is embossed in gilt to upper cover. As new in burgundy leather with stitched margins, all edges gilt, cream paper. In original Asprey slipcase, red boards sunned and rubbed to edges and corners. The diary is suitable for any calendar year and is unused; there are no marks or inscriptions. This book comes from the private collection of British Prime Minister Harold Wilson and his wife Mary which was recently dispersed at auction following the death of Mary Wilson aged 102 in 2016.
