(11x15cm) Promotional publication for recording a baby's early months, pre-illustrated with tipped-in photographs, each with an advertising slogan printed below for 'Steedman's Soothing Powders'. Small oblong format tied through 3 holes in the fold with red silk cord. The first leaf records that the book was 'Printed in Bavaria' for Raphael Tuck and contains 16 unnumbered pages with spaces for remarks on birth details, weight, 'First short clothes' and 'Spoke the first word'. Details have been filled in for an Aberdeen baby born in September 1905 at 38 Carlton Place. A single institutional copy at University of California.
