Mr Anthony. A Comedy by Roger Boyle, the Earl of Orrery, reprinted 1794, T Wilkins, very erratic pagination but the text appears to be complete. An octavo play bound in half green leather over green marbled boards with gilt spine lettering, second quarter of the 19th century, binder's ticket of 'T Connolly, Bookseller,10 Up. Ormond Quay, Dublin'. In near fine condition, spine and corners rubbed, the text on good quality blue paper is crisp and clean, apart from a few spots. Contemporary inscription to the title page, "1.Ed:1690. 4to". On the front pastedown are some jottings including the dates "25 April 1621" and "16 October 1679". An attractive volume from an extensive Irish collection of octavo and quarto plays.
