Notes on the Beaver Pedigree collected by Arthur Hill, Cadnam, Hants 1913

Unpublished manuscript. A large notebook containing a very well researched history of the Beaver family compiled by Arthur Hill of Cadnam, Hampshire; some information was supplied by Colonel Frederick Tyssen Mackinley Beaver born in 1852. Very good in rubbed marbled boards with red leather spine, worn to ends, marbled end papers, a firm binding, 42 lined foolscap pages all completed in one neat hand. Many members of the family were alumni of Oxford University, the earliest noted was Nicholas Bever BD 1506 from Caen in Normandy. Arthur Hill quotes manuscripts from the Bodleian Library, the Ely Diocesan Registry, Winchester College and wills from the Prerogative Court of Canterbury amongst many other sources. Several conjectural family trees are delineated although Arthur Hill does not appear in any of them. An fascinating resource for family history.
