[4 plates] pp 8 The first separate publication of Parker's account of the Hospital of St John the Baptist with a letter from the author. The book is bound in most attractive original green boards with gilt lettering to the front. Trivial wear only to the corners leaving the binding near Fine. Internally Fine, with the letter from Parker tipped onto the front endpaper. Writing on 'High Wycombe' headed paper Parker presents this 'clean copy' of the volume to his correspondent, adding on the endpaper: 'With the Author's Compliments Sept 1884'. Altogether a very superior copy.
