INSCRIBED BY THE ARTIST - Grayson Perry Monograph

A large, hardback folio in fine condition throughout. First major monograph of the work of Grayson Perry, personally signed and dedicated by the artist to the half title. Vibrantly illustrated jacket, maroon publisher’s boards and text block crisp, square and unmarked. Decorative endpapers show details from ‘Print for a Politician’, 2005. Half title features two custom pink ink stamps to either side of the central illustration, used by Perry when hand signing his monographs; written below ‘To Stephen love from Grayson’. Laid in is a signed letter of provenance from a London bookseller noting the volume’s purchase from the inscribee and actor Stephen Chamberlain, Kensal Green in 2014. With 329 illustrations, 313 in colour.

A beautiful volume offering an intimate, insightful commentary on the artist’s work, written by art historian Jacky Klein.
