Wanderings in the West, During the Year 1870

A scarce First Edition handsomely bound in a later half brown calf over marbled boards, titled and tooled in gilt to 6 panelled spine. An inscription to the half title by the author points to the volume being gifted to Brentford Free Library, ‘To the Brentford Free Public Library with the Author’s Best wishes for its success 1894’. A very square, sound and unmarked copy with several neat library stamps to preliminaries and final leaf. The author appears to have written below his name in pencil on the title page ‘(of Ealing)’. 196pp.
