A good plus first edition in original jacket. Publisher’s blue cloth boards titled in gilt to upper and spine; a little patchily age toned; sound and square. Inscribed to front free ‘Chas B Cook from his wife Xmas 1923’. Text block clean and unmarked. 364 pp plus advertisements. Original clipped jacket in fair plus condition; shelf worn with nicks along top, tail and folds; lower fifth of spine panel torn away; front illustration remains bright with just a few scuff marks; publisher’s illustrations to inside of jacket clean and legible. Overall a pleasing copy.

The Glimpses of the Moon was made into a silent film of the same name in 1923 which is now lost and in 2024, Francis Ford Coppola announced he was set to direct a musical adaptation of the novel.
