A pioneering work in Welsh botany, the first to cross-reference plant names in Welsh with their scientific classifications. The volume is in two parts: a systematic catalogue of Anglesey's native plants and an alphabetical list of Welsh plant names translated into Latin and English. 

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: In good condition. In a later addition half marbled binding incorporating a black cloth spine titled over a white ground. Black endpapers clean front and rear. Front gutter tender but text block remains sound throughout. Title page annotated in a contemporary hand to read The Rev [Morris] Williams MQ [……] from AW Owen Nephew of the author. Leaves age toned as expected. Minimally annotated and underlined in pencil throughout by previous owner. 1 pp. illustrations. 255 pp. collated and complete.
