Fourth edition of 1852 dedicated in print to William Wordsworth. Contemporary brown embossed cloth covered boards in very good condition. Gilt title to embossed panelled spine. Bruising to corners and moderate rubbing to spine ends and edges. Slight bubbling to top corner of front board. Text edges browned, a little puckered to top edge. Original endpapers replaced. Later endpapers in very good condition. Small scuff to top corner of front free endpaper. ‘Mrs P H Metcalf’ stamped on back loose endpaper. Original text block in very good condition. Minor yellowing throughout. Illustrated flyleaf and title page. 2 additional full-page b/w engravings All text clean, crisp and unmarked. 262pp. collated and complete.
