Very good condition. Original landscape format, stapled, stab stitched card wrapper. Colour illustrated to front and back. 26 cm x 20.5 cm. Slight bruising to corners, small chips to back. Beginning to peel away from back cover on bottom left corner.

28 pages of b/w titled photographs including Indigenous peoples, street scenes and various stages of construction of the canal. All pages clean and unmarked.

A foreword outlines the strategic value and describes the magnitude of the work involved in the construction of the Panama canal as it neared its completion in 1904.
