Early edition bound in contemporary sheepskin with a later spine label. Some loss to leather backstrip but the binding is intact and collates complete: viii, pp5-204; pp33 [6] plates; [8] index; 1 folding plate at beginning and 1 folding plate with tape repairs before index. Noted during collation: no preliminary endpapers, tape repair along gutter with title page; title page has several small punctures in the middle of the leaf; H6 lacking upper outer corner; horizontal tape repair to H7. Ownership signature of ‘Ann Bingley’s Book 1783’ from rear endpapers. Just one early annotation about quantities of a recipe, probably in Ann Bingley’s hand.
