pp 282 Twenty papers read at the Royal Institute of British Architects 862-1863 season, formerly owned by the Yorkshire Archaeological Society. The book is bound in handsome pebble green cloth with the Institute's crest in gilt on the front board and is in very good condition with a little wear at the head of the spine. (The binder's ticket of Bone and Son appears to the rear.) The text is clean and complete, beginning with a list of papers and the address from the President, W Tite followed by twenty papers which include discussions of the restoration of St Michael Penkevel in Cornwall, the construction of Charing Cross Station in London, Photographs of the Wells Sculptures and Polychromatic construction at Aston Church. The book is extensively illustrated with engravings in the text as well as full page and fold out engravings. The bookplate of the Yorkshire Archaeological Society appears on the front pastedown together with a 'withdrawn' stamp and no further signs of library ownership. This book may require additional postage for shipping outside the United Kingdom.
