A Box of Lives - English Translation

English translation by Iris Urwin in good plus condition. Softcovers a little creased along spine panel; text block edges a little spotted; a little age toned to early leaves and a few marks to half title; remainder of text block unmarked and very sound. Laid in is a typed note from the translator, Iris Urwin which commences,’This is a rather poor translation of what in the original is a very powerful book.....’.

Norbert Fryd spent the war years in a Nazi concentration camp. A Box of Lives gives a dramatic picture of events in Gigling and is an important contribution to the literature on this subject.
